A Health Equity Audit of Children & Young People in Bradford District March 2009
This Health Equity Audit (HEA) for Children and Young People provides a detailed and up to date analysis of the health information currently available with a particular focus on areas of existing health inequalities.
 
 
Adult Services 5 Year Strategy
The next five years will present wide ranging challenges to the Council in the delivery of Adult Social Care services. This strategy sets out how the Department of Adult Services plans to improve the quality, scope and range of services and provide a strategic lead in this area of work to the Council overall.
 
 
Alcohol Harm Reduction Strategy
This is not an anti-alcohol strategy. It is a strategy to reduce the harm caused by the misuse of alcohol.
 
 
Anti-Bullying Strategy 2008-2011
This strategy sets out a framework for children and young people and staff to work together to tackle bullying, to help ensure that the Bradford District is a great place in which to grow up and achieve.
 
 
The Big Plan
The Big Plan sets out the most important things that we can do to improve the quality of life in the Bradford District over the next three years. These are vital steps towards achieving success over the long term. We have included an updated 2020 Vision and ambitions in order to provide this long-term context
 
 
Bradford District Local Area Agreement 2009-2011
Bradford District Local Area Agreement outlines both the priorities and targets that the Local Authority and key partners have been agreed in tackling and monitoring. It provides the outcomes sought for the economic, social and environmental well-being of the District.
 
 
Bradford District Older Peoples Partnership Strategy
This strategy aims to promote the independence and well- being of people who are growing older in Bradford. It builds on some of the excellent work that has taken place in the District and to which older people have made a significant contribution. It revises the document "Thinking about Tomorrow" which was endorsed by the Older People's Partnership in 2006.
 
 
 
Bradford Supporting People 5 Year Strategy 2008-2013
This document reviews and builds on the original Supporting People Strategy 2005-2013. The aim of the document is to outline how housing related support services will be managed over the next few years and how progress and performance will be managed.

Economic Strategy for Bradford District 2007-2020
This document is a declaration of intent. It has been drawn up by the private sector-led Bradford District Economic Partnership and Bradford Council, together with local and regional partners. It states clearly our ambition for the districts economy, allocates responsibilities and identifies priorities for action.
 
 
Environment Partnership Strategy
The Environmental Strategy for Bradford District sets out plans to protect and enhance the District's environment and to reduce the impact on the global environment during the period 2006-2008. The Strategy forms a key part of Bradford's Community Strategy, Climate Change Strategy and the District 2020 vision, which aims to enhance the quality of life of local people through measures to improve their social, economic and environmental well-being.
 
 
Healthy Minds: Strategy for Improving the mental Health and Psychological Well-being of Children and Young People 2008-2011
This is the child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) Strategy for the Bradford District. It is the third Healthy Minds Strategy and outlines the continuing commitment of the Bradford Children and Young Peoples Strategic Partnership to improving the mental health and emotional well being of all children and young people across the District.

This Joint Housing Strategy represents the commitment of the Council and its partners to meet the housing requirements of the District. These requirements have been identified through consultation and research, including the wide ranging consultation carried out for The Big Plan,
 
 
Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA)
The JSNA is a partnership document produced jointly between the local authority and key health partners. It presents key health and demographic profiles relating to the district. It provides an overview of key health determinants, priorities and actions required to improve the districts health and well being. Safer Communities Partnership: Community Safety Plan 2009-2012
The work outlined in this strategy will contribute to meeting key themes outlined in the Big Plan, which includes Bradford being a district that is safe, clean and healthy, with improved employment opportunities. It will support Bradford in delivering its Local Area Agreement with the government, which aims to encourage new and flexible ways of working in order to deliver services more effectively.
 
 
Tourism Strategy
This strategy sets out a direction for tourism in the Bradford District for the next seven years. The strategy supports and underpins the Capital of Culture bid. It is a strategy for the whole tourism industry, not just the local authority, providing context for all operators and agencies involved in tourism to enable effective partnerships and action.
 
 
Waste Management Strategy
The overall aims and objectives of the Municipal Waste Management Strategy are to focus on the waste management issues facing the Council to 2020, determine what actions need to be considered to address the issues, and assess how this will influence the procurement of the long term waste treatment and disposal services for the Councils municipal wastes.
